December 2018 - Winter 2019 Content Update

Follow

As we do each year, we have added new multimedia to Instruct (formerly known as the InfoLit Modules) and View (our videos-only product) this winter. The topics for these pieces of multimedia are selected based on feedback from customer surveys and conversations to ensure that we are best meeting the needs of our users.

This content update is free and included in the price of your subscription. Customers who have purchased (rather than subscribed to) our content may not be eligible; if you have questions, please contact us at support@credoreference.com.

Content became available for preview in your course the week of November 12th. The opt-out period ran until the week of December 10th. The new and updated content will be added to your course beginning the week of December 10th in order to be ready for Spring Semester.

Instruct

Updates to multimedia include:

  • APA Tutorial - a small adjustment to address a correction/consistency
  • APA Video - a small adjustment to address a correction/consistency

New multimedia include:

  • News and Misinformation - 2 short videos on Identifying Misinformation and News Evaluation Strategies, with checkpoint questions
  • Primary Sources, Secondary Sources, and Tertiary Sources videos - 3 videos that address these source types in more depth. These videos replace the retired "Primary and Secondary Resources" video that was retired in Spring 2018.
  • Additional checkpoint questions for all tutorials - we will add 1-2 formative assessment questions in each tutorial. These questions are ungraded, but provide students an opportunity to practice and check their knowledge as they go through the tutorial content.
