Blackboard: Adding LTI 1.3 Links

Note: Before adding LTI 1.3 links to a course, Credo InfoLit must be installed in your institution's Blackboard system as an LTI Tool Provider with a Placement, as described here: Blackboard LTI 1.3 Tool Set Up.

Build Content -

Skip to Ultra Instructions for Adding Content

  1. Navigate to the course where you want to add the link. Select “Content.”
  2. Choose the “Build Content” Drop Down and then select the name of the placement you created.build_content1.png
  3. Selecting the Placement will launch the deep linking menu. Select the links that you want to embed in the course.select_content.png
  4. The selected content will appear at the bottom of the Content section.

 

Optional Steps for Graded Objects only (skip to Ultra instructions re Graded Objects)

The Deep Link will automatically carry over the point value for graded materials (i.e. quizzes) from the Credo platform. If you want to assign a different point value or adjust any of the grading details you can follow these steps:

  1. Test launching the graded content you have added (you do not need to take the quiz) - this will ensure a gradebook column is created. 
  2. Navigate to the Full Grade Center.                                                                 grades0.png                                                                                        
  3. Find the assessment listing and select Edit Column Information.Grade1.png
  4. If you wish to change the point value, do so by adjusting the Points Possible.grades2.png
  5. When settings are complete, Submit. Item is now ready for use by students.

 

Ultra Instructions for Adding Content

1. In your course, on the Content tab, click the plus (+) and select Content Market from the Create menu.

2. Scroll to find and choose the Credo InfoLit tool (naming may differ depending on how your tool was added).

3. On the picklist of your InfoLit content, select one or more items you wish to add and Submit.

4. The selected materials will appear in the Course Content.

Optional Steps for Graded Objects Only (Ultra)

1. Launch each quiz you wish to customize grading for so it will appear in the Gradebook.

2. Navigate to the Course's Gradebook then to Gradable Items

3. Beside item you wish to customize grading, click the ellipsis (...) and choose Edit.

4. Adjust the points possible or other grading criteria as desired. You can also apply a due date if wanted. Save to apply changes for future use of the quiz.
