Regular content updates are included in Information Literacy (formerly Instruct) subscriptions at no additional cost. Updates typically include 6-8 entirely new multimedia items and/or refreshed versions of existing items. Customer feedback from surveys and one-on-one conversation is an important factor when we plan each update, and we encourage customers to share their thoughts and suggestions with us.
Email notifications will be sent to account admins in advance of each planned content update, including information about the anticipated release date and what changes will be made. Before making any changes to live content on your account, you will have the opportunity to preview the content in your admin account, and notify us if you wish to opt out of any of the changes. In cases where there is a new version available for an existing piece of content, you are welcome to keep either version or both. We will not overwrite the existing content item so that you can retain any customizations that you have made.
We plan our updates for release between traditional semesters, in June/July or December/January, to avoid interrupting ongoing instruction.
