We have new and updated content for InfoLit – Core reflecting the continued need for materials on generative AI, changes published recently by MLA on their citation style for AI content, and students’ need for guidance on reading whole books.
The new and updated content is available for customer preview now in the Studio (editing) platform within your course. It is in a section at the end of the course called “December 2025 Update.”
Unless you opt out or ask for different timing, it will be made live in customer courses between December 26, 2025 and early January 2026. Customers can opt out or ask for the material to be made available at an earlier or later date by contacting Henrietta Thornton at hthornton@infobase.com.

New tutorial: How to Read a Book
This tutorial is for students who are used to reading short excerpts of text but are now required to read a whole novel or nonfiction book. It helps them to change their mindset about this longer assignment, know what to look for while they’re reading, and take helpful notes.
Updated Materials

Updated video tutorial: Beginning Research with Wikipedia/Google
We have added a unit to this tutorial on how to use and interpret the AI summaries that Google now typically adds at the top of search-result screens. We have also added guidance on usage of Google’s AI Mode.

Updated tutorial: MLA 9th Edition Citation Style
The Modern Language Association (MLA) has released new guidance on citing usage of AI, so our existing tutorial on MLA style has been updated accordingly.
